An exercise physiologist is a healthcare professional who provides information and advice about exercise and physical activity to help clients manage, prevent and treat chronic conditions. Exercise physiologists provide rehabilitation services and work with clients who have or are recovering from a range of conditions including osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic pain, depression and cancer.

In preparation for your first appointment with us, please bring:

  • any relevant documentation (eg. referral letter, scan reports etc)
  • wear clothing that you are comfortable exercising in (change room facilities are available)
  • enclosed shoes your own towel and water bottle.

Yes, rebates may be applicable for our exercise physiology services if you have a specific health condition you’re trying to treat, manage or improve. Medicare, DVA and most private health funds recognise exercise physiology (under a Chronic Disease Management Plan). Please note, a specific referral is required from your GP to claim under Medicare or DVA.
